Unexpected pregnancy Scottish Terrier

An unexpected pregnancy, can be a nightmare. Your Scotty may not be prepared for it, the male dog could be that Jack Russell next door, there are many reasons that can be summed up as an unexpected pregnancy. There is very little you can do but to let the pregnancy proceed.

The health and welfare of your bitch must be of prime concern, the pups when they are born may well be a cross breed, this is not they're fault. They have the right to be treated equally as if they were pedigree Scotty's.

Finding  homes for the pups may be a little harder, but homes will be found

Try to make the best of this situation, and make sure that there is no possibility of this happening by accident again. Despite the large number of dogs in the world, there is always someone looking for a pup, make the most out of it, make a non pedigree papers, showing the mother with her ancestors and the father as "Dog down the road", a bit of fun and thought will create interest in the pups.
