Fish

Your Scotty will love fish, cod, hake, haddock freshly cooked with a blob of butter, will go down well, but take out those cooked bones. Scotty's also like those tins of sardines and pilchards in tomatoes sauce or olive oil.

Fish given with vegetables or rice makes a good change to meat everyday.

Fish are very good sources of protein, polyunsaturated fatty acids (Omega 3’s) and minerals. Omega 3 fatty acids from fish and fish oils are helpful in preventing disease and lead to optimum health.

Fish that are the highest in omega 3 fatty acids are dark- fleshed, like mackerel and salmon.

Fatty fish such as mackerel, salmon and halibut are excellent sources of vitamin A and D. Some fish, such as tuna and sardines are high in coenzyme Q10 an antioxidant nutrient.
