Fruit

Your Scotty likes fruit..

While fresh fruits contain a high-water-content, they are excellent sources of natural sugar and provide energy and carbohydrates. Fruits contain little protein and are low in fat.

They do provide fibre and many minerals, such as potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, and iron.

They also contain vitamins A, C and trace amounts of B complex. Fresh fruits contain more nutrition than canned or frozen fruits. However you would not give a large quantity of fruit or your Scotty is going to have an upset tummy.

A few segments of oranges, a 1/4 of an apple or a pear another day or a few segments of a pineapple another day. Added to his regular meal they will love them. Strawberries and cream, a little banana now and then will be appreciated.

Avoid grapes and raisins , not all Scotty's can handle these, and given in large quantities can make your Scotty very unwell, so avoid them.
