All Scotty's should have a routine annual veterinary examination. They should be wormed every six months (Ask you vet)

The puppy will need worming more regular at first. Choose your vet with the help of other pet guardians you know. Find out your vets emergency facilities and keep the telephone number close to hand.

Scotty's have their individual food requirements which will change at various stages of life.

All dogs however require minimum quantities of a range of nutrients if they are to remain healthy.

Dogs are not true carnivores, and cannot exist on meat alone. Meat should never form more than about half your dogs diet.

Your Scotty should obtain all the vitamins and minerals it needs from a well balanced diet.

However there are occasions when it may require supplements.

These include puppy growth and when the dog is recovering from an illness.

You should always consult your vet before giving any supplements.
