Protect your Scotty with a microchip
A tiny microchip, takes seconds to implant without the need for anaesthetic.
Permanently
under your pets skin. Your pet will have its own unique number and its details
along with your own, will be places on the PetLog™ database operated by the
Kennel Club
A certificate of registration will be issued.

If you pet goes missing and is found by a dog warden or welfare organization
it will be scanned for a microchip. The implanted chip will give information to
the reader and your pet's unique I.D number will be displayed. Dog theft is not
an uncommon event. Dog-nappers will steal either a mongrel or purebred, so all guardians
must always be wary!
PetLog™, is manned 24 hours a day and will be contacted and given the I.D
number. Your details will be displayed and you will be quickly re-united with
your pet.
(Smaller than
shown) The tiny microchip (12mm long 2mm wide) is injected into the dogs back by a special gun.
The microchip which carries a unique identification number, either 10 or 15
digits long is made out of inert materials to avoid rejection by the body. A
little discomfort from this procedure is experienced by the dog. However this
only lasts a few seconds.
In addition to the lifetime registration through Pettrac™ you are automatically eligible for membership. Once your pet has been
chipped you will be given three month's membership of the club as well as £2
million third party insurance for that period.
